100. biisi on Spice Girls - Goodbye

Sadas biisi! Vau! 

Oli kamalaa kun Geri lähti Spice Girlseistä, mutta vielä kamalampaa oli kun Spice Girls lopetti. Vaikkakin, täytyy myöntää, että tämä kolmas levy ei ollut enää puoliksikaan niin hyvä kuin kaksi ensimmäistä. Oikeastaan ainoa biisi josta olen oikeasti todella pitänyt koko kolmannelta levyltä on tämä Goodbye. Tämä on edelleen aitoa upeaa Spice Girlsiä. Muut biisit tuntuivat olevan jotain pomppausta johonkin toiseen suuntaan josta en pitänyt. Ehkä se oli tuotannollinen virhe ja sen takia Spice Girlsin suosiokin lopahti? Ehkä se johtui Gerin lähdöstä? Ehkä aika vain oli mennyt Spice Girlsin ohi?

Oli miten oli, tämä biisi oli täydellinen jäähyväisbiisi. Ja se on sitä edelleen. Lyriikat ovat hienot: "Hyvästi ystäväni, tämä ei ole loppu. Olen niin iloinen että teimme sen, aika ei koskaan muuta sitä." Pätee aika moneen asiaan.

100th song is Spice Girls - Goodbye

100th song! Wow!

It was awful when Geri left the Spice Girls but it was even more awful when Spice Girls announced they are going to quit. Although, I must admit, the third album wasn't even half as good as the two previous were. Actually, this was the only song which I really liked from the third album. This is still the real and genuine Spice Girls. Other songs were something different when trying to hop somewhere else from their original direction and I didn't like it. Maybe it was the productions fault and that's why Spice Girls wasn't that popular anymore? Or maybe it was because Geri left? Or maybe the time had just passed on from Spice Girls?

Either way, this song was the perfect goodbye song. And it still is. Those lyrics are wonderful: "Goodbye my friend, it's not the end. I'm so glad we made it, time will never change it." It applies to so many things.
