162. biisi on Hopeanuoli theme

Ah! Yksi kaikkien aikojen lempi piirrettyni! Vaikkakin tämä ei todellakaan ole mikään lastenpiirretty vaikka sitä erheellisesti sellaiseksi luultiinkin 80-90-luvuilla. 

Monia vuosia luulin, että minä ja vanha paras kaverini (sekä kummien lapset) olimme harvoja jotka tiesivät Hopeanuolesta (tuttavallisemmin Hopsu). Lukioaikoinani tutustuin Vihreän Lohikäärme -foorumin kautta ihmisiin jotka myös tiesivät Hopeanuolen ja sen jälkeen olen oppinut tuntemaan oman ikäpolveni ihmisiä jotka eivät ole edes manga/anime/fantasia harrastajia ja tiesivät Hopeanuolen.

Monta vuotta luulimme myös vanhan parhaan kaverini kanssa, että neljä VHS:ää oli kaikki mitä Hopeanuolesta oli. Vaikkakin jo muksuna ihmettelimme uskomattoman suuria aukkoja tarinassa. Keksimmekin sitten lopulta itse selitykset aukoille. Esim. Rikin kuoleman selitimme niin, että vanhat haavat aukesivat. Mutta tarinassa oli kyllä paljon aukkoja joita mekään emme vain pystyneet selittämään. 

Lukioaikoinani sain tietää, että neljä VHS:ää, legendaarisen huonoilla suomidubbauksilla, olikin leikattu kasaan 21 jakson sarjasta. Sarjaa oli yritetty leikata mm. sen raakuuden vuoksi. Tämä räjäytti maailmani. Aukoille oli siis täysin ymmärrettävä selitys. Halusin nähdä ohjelman kokonaisuudessaan! 

Se onnistuikin muutaman vuoden päästä. Suomessa julkaistiin DVD boksi jossa oli kaikki 21 alkuperäistä jaksoa alkuperäisillä äänillään eli japaniksi (tunnustettakoon tässä, että ennen DVD:n julkaisua, olin kyllä jo nähnyt kaikki jaksot japaniksi tai koreaksi ja fanidubbauksin... olin warettanut jaksot itse tai sitten joku muu oli tehnyt sen puolestani, en voi enää muistaa). 

Elämäni valkeni suunnattomasti jaksot katsottuani. Kaikki kävi nyt järkeen! Olin myös kuullut, että sarja pohjautuu mangaan. Olen yrittänyt lukeakin sitä, mutta kovan suosion takia, mangat ovat aina lainassa kirjastoista. Minun pitäisi ostaa mangat omakseni, mutta en ole varma löytyykö niitä kaikkia vielä. Toivon mukaan, kyllä minä ne vielä ostan ja luen!

Rakastan edelleen Hopeanuolta, tarinaa, hahmoja. Mangasarjan tekijältä Yoshihiro Takahashilta löytyy myös muita sarjaan kuuluvia omia mangojaan kuten Rikistä, Hopeanuolen isästä, kertova mangasarja. Weedistä, Hopeanuolen pojasta, kertova mangasarja on myös päässyt animaatio sarjatuotantoon (Weed ei ollut kyllä puoliksikaan niin hyvä kuin Hopeanuoli, piirtojäljestä lähtien, mutta tämäkin DVD kokoelma pitäisi siitä huolimatta hankkia ja mangat lukea). Uusin tuttavuus on Akamesta kertova mangasarja. 

Ai, mutta musiikki. Se on hienoa tässä sarjassa. Lukioaikoinani ja hieman ennenkin koin kiina-/japanivaiheeni ja innostuin animen ja krääsän lisäksi myös musiikista. Ei minusta koskaan mitään suurta Aasia-fania tullut mutta vaihe nyt kuitenkin. Ja pidin enemmänkin vain sarjojen ja pelien tunnareista jne. tiesin vain satunnaisen bändin tai laulajan. Nykyään en taas tiedä mitään xD Se on aivan oma maailmansa, mutta soittolistoillani on silti edelleen jäänteitä tuosta vaiheesta.

Oh! One of my all time favourite animation! Although, this wasn't children's animation, although everyone thought so back in the 80's and 90's.

Many years I thought that me and my old best friend (and my god parent's children) were the rare individuals which knew Silver Fang. But in my high school years I get to know people from the forum called Green Dragon who also knew about Silver Fang and after that I found out that there's quite lot of people from my generation which knew Silver Fang even though most of them wasn't especially manga/anime/fantasy enthusiasts. 

Many years we also thought with my old best friend that the four VHS were the only things about Silver Fang. Although, we did wonder why there were so many big holes in the story. Eventually, we made up the explanations for some of the holes for ourselves. For example, Riki's death we explained that the old wounds opened up. But there were a lot of things that we just couldn't explain. 

In my high school years I got to know that those four VHS with legendary bad dubbing was cut from series with 21 episodes. They cut the series because of its brutality. This blow my mind. There was a real explanation for the holes in the story. I really wanted to see the series as a whole!

Soon, in a few years, it happened. They released a DVD in Finland where there were all 21 original episodes with original voices in Japan (I must confess that, I had seen the episodes in Japan or Korean and with fan dubbing before the release of the DVD... I had downloaded them or someone else had downloaded them for me, I can't remember anymore).

My life brighten up immensely after seeing the episodes. Everything made sense now! I had also heard that the series was based on a manga. I've been trying to read it but because it's so popular, it's always loaned from the libraries. I should buy them for myself but I'm not sure if I can find all of them anymore. Hopefully I will find them because I'm going to buy them and then read them all!

I still love Silver Fang, the story, the characters. There's also other manga series which belong to the same world from the creator Yoshihiro Takahashi, like the manga about Silver Fang's father, Riki. There's also manga series about Silver Fang's son, Weed, which is also an anime (although, it's not even half as good as Silver Fang was, even the drawings are not that good, but still I would like to have the DVD collection and I would like to read the manga). The newest edition to the series is manga series about Akame.

Because there's such big sentimental value in the series, I've also gotten the sadly dubbed and cut versions for myself in DVD. Still I have to watch them once and awhile just because of the nostalgia :D

Oh, but the music. It's fine in this series. In my high school years, I had some kind of a china/japan phase and I was excited about anime and junk, and of course the music too. I wasn't very big Asian fan but it was a phase. And I liked more the music in series and games etc. and knew only few random bands or singers. Nowadays I know nothing xD It's a world of its own but still I do have some remnants on my playlists about that phase.
