Ensimmäisen koneeni sain joskus 2000 -luvun alussa. Veikkaan, että olin silloin 9. luokalla. Tai no, eihän se vain minun koneeni ollut, vaan myös äidin. Tuolloin saimme myös ensimmäisen nettimme. En tosin ole ihan varma muistanko oikein.
Joihinkin noihin aikoihin joka tapauksessa tutustuin myös ensimmäistä kertaa piratismin ihmeelliseen maailmaan. En muista enää silloisen ohjelman nimeä jolla sisältöjä pystyi hakemaan ja lataamaan omalle koneelle. Eipä siellä tuohon aikaan vielä paljoa ollut. Ohjelma perustui siihen, että käyttäjät jakoivat omaa sisältöään jota muut latasivat ja omat lataukset oli hyvä pistää myös jakoon jotta oli useampia väyliä joista ladata. Jotain tällaista. Jostain syystä tämä biisi onkin yksi ensimmäisiä piratisoimiani biisejä. Myönnän sen nyt. Mutta enhän minä ymmärtänyt tuohon aikaan vielä piratismista mitään. Asia oli vielä niin uusi ja itse olin vielä niin nuori.
Sinänsä jännä että tämä on yksi ensimmäisiä biisejä joita latasin omalle koneelleni (lataus kestin tosin monta tuntia, huomautettakoon tämä). En tuolloin tiennyt mitään Leijonakuningas -musikaalista ja tämä olikin outo biisi, mutta niin hieno. Tiesin toki Leijonakuningas animaation ja tästä biisistä onkin viitteitä Leijonakuningas 1:ssä ja 2:ssa mutta oli tämä versio silti minulle tuntematon. Upea biisi kuitenkin!
Sinänsä jännä että tämä biisi löytyi tuolta ohjelmasta ladattavaksi mutta niin moni muu biisi jota etsin ei löytynyt. Tuntui ettei sisältöä ollut vielä tarjolla kauheasti tai sitten vain etsin outoja asioita. Mutta silti tämä musikaaliversio löytyi. Se on mielestäni outoa.

325th song is The Lion King - Shadowland
I got my first computer at the beginning of 2000. I think I was then at 9th grade. Well actually the computer wasn't just for me, it was also my mother's. At that time we also got our very first Internet. Although, I'm not quite sure if I remember this right.
But at some point in that time I introduced myself in the fascinating world of piracy. I can't remember the name of the program where you could find and download content to you own computer. Although I remember there wasn't much to choose from. I think the program was based on the operation that the users shared their content which others could download and it was a good thing to share that data again so there would have been more channels from which to choose from when downloading. Or something like that. For some reason this song was one of the first songs which I downloaded. I do admit it now. But I must say to my defence that I knew nothing about piracy at that time. It was still a new thing and I was so young then.
It was odd that this was one of the first songs which I downloaded to my computer (the downloading withstand many hours though). I knew nothing about The Lion King musical back then and this song was alien to me but so wonderful. Of course I knew The Lion King animation and I think there's some references of this song in The Lion King 1 and 2 but still this version was unknown for me. But it's such a nice song!
It's also odd that this was one of the songs which I could find from the downloading program but so many other songs were not to find there. I think there wasn't much content available at that time yet or maybe I just search odd things. But still there were this musical version of The Lion King. I think it's odd.
