226. biisi on The Rain - Tuuli kulkee

Palataanpa riparitunnelmiin.

Kävin rippileirin aikoinaan. Se oli oikein mukavaa. En tosin ole koskaan ollut kovin kristillinen, en ole saanut kristillistä kasvatusta muuta kuin mitä koulussa ja harrastuksissa tuli väkisin koettua. Olen ollut aktiivi seurakuntanuori koska kylällämme ei oikein ollut muuta harrastusta ja porukka oli kivaa. Jeesustelu oli pieni paha kaiken muun hauskan lomassa. Nykyäänhän tunnustaudun jo julkisesti ateistiksi/agnostikoksi. 

Mutta tämä biisi. Tämä tuo vahvasti mieleen rippileirin. Ihan vain siitä syystä, että tämä biisi soi joka ikinen päivä, vähintään kerran tunnissa, monesti enemmänkin. Rippileirini kesti 10 päivää. Aika nopeasti tähän biisiin kyllästyin ennen kuin päivät oli lusittu.

Mutta onhan tämä hyvä biisi. Kyllä minä ymmärrän miksi se oli kaikkien suosikki tuolloin ja miksi sitä soitettiin uudestaan ja uudestaan. Kai minäkin tästä biisistä salaa hieman pidin. Ainakin jälkeenpäin se toi mieleen mukavia muistoja. 

Pienenä anekdoottina huomautan, että olen ollut The Rainin treenikämpällä. The Rain ei tosin ollut tuolloin paikalla. Olin koelaulamassa yhteen bändiin joka treenasi saman rakennuksen kellarissa ja kulku treenitilaan johti The Rainin treenikämpän läpi.

Let's go back to my confirmation times.

I went on a confirmation camp. It was really nice. Although I've never been a real Christian, I haven't had Christian education except what I had at school and in my hobbies. I've been active young parishioner because we didn't have anything else to do at our small village and I liked the gang. Acting sanctimoniously was the smallest thing to do when everything else was so fun. Now I'm openly atheist/agnostic.

But this song. This song brings strongly my mind those confirmation camp days. And there's a good reason because this song was playing every fricking day at least once an hour, most of the time more. My confirmation camp lasted 10 days. So I got really quickly bored of this song before those days were served. 

But it's nice song. And I do understand why it was favourite for many and why it was played again and again. I think I too liked this song back then, in secret. At least afterwards it has always bring back good memories.

For a small anecdote to point out. I've been at the training place of The Rain. Although The Rain wasn't there then. I was auditioning in a band which was rehearsing at the same house's basement and to get to the basement you had to go through The Rain's training place.
