21. biisi on She Moves - Breaking All the Rules

Tälle biisille minulla on tarina.

Biisi oli minulla hukassa melkeinpä 20 vuotta. Etsin sitä enemmän ja vähemmän kissojen ja koirien kanssa vuosien ajan. Ainoa muistikuva biisistä oli, että siinä oli kolme (tai neljä) naista, ja että biisissä tanssitaan hurjasti vessakopeissa. Muistin myös nähneeni sen aikoinaan MTV:ltä. Kysyin sitä jopa tiedonhaun ammattilaisilta Kysy kirjastonhoitajalta -palvelun kautta, mutta eiväthän hekään ihmeisiin pysty vaikkakin monia biisejä ehdottivatkin. . 

Biisi löytyi koulukaverin (joka pitää tätä samanlaista listaa omassa blogissaan ;) ) avulla. Hän laittoi kyselyn Facebookin Parasta ennen -ohjelman ryhmään ja sieltä joku tämän biisin kaivoi esiin. Riemu oli rajaton! 20 vuoden etsinnät olivat ohi. Kerroin asiasta heti lapsuuteni parhaalle ystävälleni jonka kanssa biisistä tuli aikoinaan legendaarinen ja joka myös oli yrittänyt etsiä biisiä käsiinsä. 

Näimme kyseisen biisin 90-luvulla MTV:ltä. Biisi teki meihin niin suuren vaikutuksen, että sen innoittamana teimme elämämme ensimmäiset kaksi kappaletta talonyhtiömme leikkipuistossa. Olen siis aloittanut biisien teon jo 90-luvulla :D Toisesta kappaleesta minulla ei ole mitään muistikuvaa mutta toinen, jonka muistan paremmin, oli saanut vahvoja vaikutteita tästä kyseisestä She Movesin biisistä. Biisin aiheena oli pissa ja kakka. Teimme siihen koreografiankin leikkipuiston keinuja apuna käyttäen, tanssien kutakuinkin tavoitellen samaa meininkiä mitä She Movesin musiikkivideolla on nähtävissä. Leikkipuisto ja koko talonyhtiön alue raikasi ja meillä oli hauskaa. Valitettavasti nuo biisit ovat vuosien saatossa unohtuneet, eikä niistä ole jäänyt minkäänlaista taltiointia. Ne olivat varmasti kuitenkin hittikamaa! Muistan isäni kommentoineen niitä jollain lailla kun tulin takaisin sisälle :) 

Biisi on kyllä hyvä ja pidän edelleen tuosta musiikkivideosta. She Movesta en ole kyllä kuullut tämän enempää eikä heitä löydy Spotifystäkään. Yhtyeeltä on ilmestynyt vain yksi albumi ja muutenkin yhtye oli hyvin lyhytikäinen. Ehkä samanlaisia tyttöbändejä oli jo 90-luvun lopulla liikaa eikä mukaan enää vain mahtunut?

21st song is She Moves - Breaking All the Rules

For this song I have a little story for you.

This song was lost from me almost 20 years. I had searched this song more or less with cats and dogs for years. My only recollection of this song was that there were three women (or four) and they danced fiercely in a toilet booths. I also remember seeing the music video on MTV. I asked about the song from information retrieval professionals in Ask librarian service but even they can't do miracles, although they did found many other songs.

The song was found with a help of my school mate (who is also doing this list on his blog ;) ). He asked about the song in a Facebook group called Parasta ennen and someone had recognised what I had been looking for. There were no limit for my joy! Almost 20 year search was over. I told immediately to my childhood best friend that the song had been finally found, with her we had made the song legendary long time ago and she also had tried to search for the song. 

So, we had seen the song on MTV in 90's. The song made a huge impact for us, and because of it, we made our own two songs in our housing cooperative's playground. I have been making songs since 90's, actually :D I have no memory of the first song but the other, which I remember better, had a huge impact from this song. Our song's subject was pee and poo. We also made a choreography for it by using the swings on the playground, we tried to reach the same feeling as in the music video. The whole playground and our housing cooperative area was echoing with our song and we had so much fun. Unfortunately we have totally forgotten both songs and there are no record of them. I'm sure they would have been smash hits! I remember that my father commented something about the songs after I had went inside the house :)

The song is good and I still like the music video. Although, I haven't heard anything about the band after this and they aren't even in Spotify. There's only one album from them and it seems that the band was very short aged. Maybe there was too much girl bands already at the end of 90's, so there wasn't room for one more anymore?
