Monesti kakkososat eivät ole kovin hyviä, mutta Leijonakuningas on yksi harvoista poikkeuksista. Vaikka tarina meneekin aika samalla lailla kuin ensimmäisessäkin, on tässä elokuvassa jokin viehätys aina ollu. Ja hyviä biisejähän se on täynnä!  

Tämä on yksi lempparini ja vieläpä hyvällä sanomalla varustettu. "We are one", olemme yhtä. Vaikka mitä tapahtuisi. Lyriikoissa kerrotaan siitäkin miten maailmassa on paljonkin asioita joita emme ymmärrä ja elämä ei aina mene niin kuin haluaisi. Simba laulaa tätä tyttärelleen Kiaralle ja kertoo, että vanhemmat pysyvät kyllä rinnalla, tapahtui mitä tahansa, ja ovat ylpeitä jälkikasvustaan. Perhe on yhtä. Jopa ne perheenjäsenet jotka ovat kuolleet, ovat yhä mukanamme.

Hieno kappale, ja toivon mukaan useammissa perheissä totta. Jopa kuolemaosa on tieteellisesti oikein. Kuolleet perheenjäsenet, monien monien vuosien takaa, ovat kaikki mukanamme läpi elämämme ja siirtyvät seuraaville sukupolville. DNA. 129th song is Lion King 2 - We Are One

Most of the times sequels aren't that good, but Lion King is one of those rare exceptions. Although, the story is still the same as in the first one there's some kind of charm in the movie. And it's full of good songs.

This is one of my favourites and it has a good message too. "We are one". What ever happens. The lyrics are also saying that there's so much things that we don't understand and life doesn't always go as we would like. Simba is singing this to his daughter, Kiara and he tells that parents are always staying by her side, what ever happens, and they would always be proud of their offsprings. Family sticks together. Even those family members who are dead are still with us.

Wonderful song and I hope it would be true in most of the families. Even the dead part is scientifically right. The deceased family members, even from many many years behind are still with us through our lives and they move on to the next generations. DNA. There's half from both parents, which got their half from their parents which got their half from their parents. It's endless chain.

It's fascinating how deep the lyrics can be even in children's animation, and even told with such clarity that even children could understand it. Wonderful!
