Olen laulanut tätä biisiä jo ennen kuin näin koko musikaalin. Ensimmäisen kerran näin musikaalin vuoden 2012 elokuvaversiona jossa Anne Hathaway esitti Fatinea joka laulaa tämän biisin.

Pidin tästä biisistä jo ennen elokuvan näkemistä, olen itsekin sitä laulaessani itkenyt, mutta vaikutuin Hathawayn esityksestä. Itsekään en ole biisiin noin vahvaa tunnelatausta vielä saanut. Upeaa. Ahdistavaa. Lohdutonta. Les Misérables on täynnä surullisia ihmiskohtaloita.

Ensikosketukseni koko tarinaan olen oikeastaan saanut Aku Ankan kautta. Omistan tasan yhden Aku Ankan Taskukirjan. Tuosta taskukirjasta löytyy löyhästi Victor Hugon Kurjat -teokseen perustuva sarjakuvatarina joka on ollut yksi lemppareistani jo monia vuosia. Pitäisi joskus lukea myös alkuperäinen teos johon myös tämä musikaali perustuu. Minua harmittaa, etten nähnyt Tampereen Teatterin esittämää versiota muutama vuosi sitten. Hain tuohon musikaaliin esiintyjäksikin mutta en päässyt tuolloin edes koe-esiintymiseen. Tämä on kyllä vaativa musikaali.

89th song is Les Misérables - I Dreamed a Dream

I've sang this song even before I saw the whole musical. I saw it first time as 2012 movie version where Anne Hathaway was performing Fatine who sings this song. 

I liked the song even before seeing the movie, I've also cried while singing it, but I was so impressed of Hathaway's performance. I've never gotten even close for that kind of emotional charge. Wonderful. Oppressive. Desolating. Les Misérables is full of sad fates. 

My first touch into the story was through Donald Duck. I own one Donald Duck pocket book. In that book, there's a story which is loosely based on Victor Hugo's Les Misérables, which has been my favourite for years. I should also read the original book where this musical is based on. It irks me that I missed the version made by Tampere theatre few years ago. I even tried to apply to that musical but they never even call out for me to auditions. This is very demanding musical.
